On these pages we'll attempt to sketch out Ruth's Family Album. For years I heard my mother, grandmother, and Ruth, talk about relatives I had either not met or couldn't remember. This family gathering provided the means and incentive to put together a Family Album. It helps me sort out who's who - to put faces on the names that have been just names for years. I hope you find these pages equally useful. I'm sure in the process mistakes will be made. If we've placed you in the wrong place, or spelled a name wrong, or missed someone completely, please let me know so it can be corrected as soon as possible. The gathering this September at Ruth's 100th Birthday party provided a great motivation to get the project going. In attendance was the largest single gathering of the clan since the funeral of my grandfater, Charles Schiele in 1962. Many of the individuals gathered had not see each other in the intervening 36 years. Some had never met before. My sister Rebecca, and cousins Barbara and Carol realized it was the first time in 36 years that all of us had been together at the same time.
